UVA causes long term damage such as premature aging. SPF (sun protection factor) was introduced in the early 1960’s to protect against UVB rays and to provide essential protection for the skin.
There are many products available for good skincare and many have SPF included however due to the fact that they built into another product. such as, foundation, they may not be as effective as they seem. Therefore its important to establish exactly how much protection each product has before relying on it to protect you against ultraviolet UVB rays. When we buy sun protection for a child we automatically purchase a high factor sunscreen as protection is in the fore front of our minds. So why do we leave our skin protection to chance.
