How does The Soprano Ice Platinum differ from previous/other hair removal treatments?
The Soprano Ice Platinum is the most complete and effective hair removal solution available today.  The SHR (Soprano Hair Removal) technology differs from previous Soprano machines, for example the soprano XL and the Soprano Ice, in that it now combines three wavelengths in a single applicator, whereas the XL and Ice only combined the 2 wavelengths. The third wavelength, The Yag, allows for the treatment of all skin types and tones;  whether you have light, dark, or even sun tanned skin, course or fine hair, achieving complete and effective hair removal that’s safe, quick, and best of all, virtually painless.

Other hair removal systems, such as IPL, can cause the client pain or discomfort due to the laser firing individual shots. The Soprano Ice Platinum delivers 10 shots per second, working in a sweeping movement and has Contact Cooling via an ice tip that is built into the hand-piece, which ensures a more comfortable treatment.

The Soprano Ice Platinum allows for a patch test to be carried out just 20 minutes before your very first treatment. And, as the treatments are now completed much quicker, this means that you could even have your treatment during your lunch hour.

How do I know if the treatment is safe for me?
Before your first treatment we will ask you to complete a consultation form which we will go through with you to ensure your treatment is completely safe for you.  As Qualified Nurses, we can offer a more in-depth consultation and reassure you of any concerns you may have. We will then carry out a small patch test which can be completed just 20 minutes before your first treatment, much better than the previous 24 hours interlude. Therefore, you can now have your very first consultation, patch test and treatment all in the same day, if you choose to. All consultations and patch tests are free and there is no obligation to have treatment.

What is the treatment like?
The treatment room offers a comfortable and relaxing environment, with soft music playing in the background. You will be asked to make yourself comfortable and a cool gel will be applied to the area to be treated. A pair of laser protection glasses will be provided for treatments on the body and a pair if googles will be worn for treatments on the face, this is due to the laser being close to your eyes so they are fully protected …and away we go.

The nurse will apply the hand-piece to the treatment area, in a smooth sweeping motion. All you will feel during your treatment is a build up of heat and maybe some ‘spiking’ to the treatment area. As experienced nurses we will support you throughout your treatment to ensure you feel relaxed and happy.

How many treatments do I need? And how often?
A course of 8 treatments are recommended to provide optimum results. This can be carried out every 4 to 6 weeks to the face area and every 6 to 8 weeks to the body. On occasions some people may need more treatments however we will discuss this with you on your consultation appointment as we believe being open and honest is paramount.

Are ther any side effects?
Most of our clients have no side effects. The Soprano Ice Platinum has no downtime, so treatments can be carried out in your lunch hour.A very small percentage of clients can experience some redness to the area treated, however, this passes quickly. To aid this, it is recommended to apply Pure Aloe Vera gel after treatment to ensure the area is fully cooled
